Andersonville Prison Patch

Andersonville Prison Patch

Andersonville, also known as Camp Sumter, was one of the largest military prisons established by the Confederacy during the Civil War. The prison was only in existence for 14 months, but in that time it housed over 45,000 Union soldiers, almost 13,000 of them dying while being held captive. This patch measures four inches wide by three inches high.
