From 1735to 1927, the Adams family of Quincy, Massachusetts, contributed to the social, cultural, political and intellectual history of the nation. Adams National Historical Park features the birthplaces of two presidents, John Adams and John Quincy Adams, and the Old House, home to the Presidents and their First Ladies and later to Civil War Minister to Great Britain Charles Francis Adams and literary historians Henry and Brooks Adams.
