Ornament A Lincoln Birthplace

Robert Collier, publisher of collier's magazine oversaw the purchase of Lincoln's birthplace in 1904. The site was then managed under the Lincoln Farm Association. In 1909 president Roosevelt laid the conerstone of a Memorial Building that would house the symbolic cabin reprenting the cabin where Abraham Linclon was born on February 12, 1909. The Memorial Building was designed by John Russelll Pope. The building was finished and dedicated by President William Howard Taft in 1911. This 24K gold ornament represents the memorial building which protects the birthplace cabin of Abraham Lincoln. Custom crafted etched from original art work by Artist Gregory J. Harber. Made in the U.S.A. Complete with Cetificate of Authenticity.
