ANP Fredericksburg Hiking Medallion

Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Wilderness, and Spotsylvania - more than 85,000 men wounded; 15,000 killed. No place more vividly reflects the Civil War’s tragic cost, in all its forms. This hiking medallion has our America’s National Park Collectors Series logo for Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania National Military Park on it which has a depiction of the Kirkland Monument. "The Kirkland Monument honors Confederate Sergeant Richard R. Kirkland who brought water to wounded Union soldiers at the risk of his own life in the Battle of Fredericksburg, December 14, 1862.
