Ding Darling was a Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist whose work appeared in the Des Moines Register between 1906 and 1949. It was also syndicated in 135 newspapers across the country. He developed a friendship with Herbert Hoover that lasted until Ding's death in 1962. In this Quakerism often do so for its intellectual stands. A glossary of Quaker terms is included.
