Ford's Theatre Keepsake Ornament

Ford's Theatre Keepsake Ornament

As both a contemporary theater and a national historic site, Ford's Theatre stands restored today as a living tribute and memorial to assassinated 16th president Abraham Lincoln. On April 14, 1865, John Wilkes Booth shot President Lincoln as he watched the comedy Our American Cousin. The president died the next day at nearby Petersen's Boarding House. This ornament depicts the outside of the theatre.
