A View from the Core: A Synthesis of Ohio Hopewell Archaeology is the second book in a series sponsored by the Ohio Valley Archaeological Council to celebrate the rich archaeolgical heritage of the state of Ohio. The book primarily represents a proceedings volume of the OAC's Second Annual Conference on Ohio Archaeology, held at the Comfort Inn November 19-20 1993 in Chilcotte, Ohio. While a nominal geographic core and periphery concept was utilized as an organizational framework for both the book and conference, it did not limit the perspectives taken by any of the contributing authors who addressed a variety of topics concerning Ohio Hopewell archaeology.
