The National World War II Memorial in D.C. was dedicated by President George W. Bush in 2004 in honor of all Americans who served in the armed forces or as civilians during the Second World War.
This patch recreates a portion of that memorial. One of two triumphal arches, which represent the Atlantic and Pacific campaigns of the war, is visible on this patch. Also present are six of the monument's 56 pillars, each one standing for an American state or territory at the time.
Below the depiction of the monument is the fountain, represented in blue, the words "World War II Memorial," and a single gold star. There are 4,048 gold stars on the memorial, each one standing for 100 Americans who died in the war. In this way, this patch allows you to pay silent respect to those that defended our freedom.
At approximately 4'' by 4'', this patch is big! It's perfect for sewing onto the jacket of the veteran in your life, so they can wear it with pride. This embroidered patch will also look great on a backpack, jeans, or even in a collection! Product Details
