150th Anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh Collectors Coin

The Battle of Shiloh took place on April 6 & 7, 1862.  The battle's heavy casualties, 23,746 men among the 109,784 soldiers engaged, stunned the divided nation.  The awful carnage forecast an increasingly bloody and protracted war.  This coin has been made in commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War.
