The Fort Washington Light was beacon for naval vessels since 1857, guiding them safely to their ports or brightening Potomac River, the water passage to America’s Capital City. Vividly striking, our patch shows Lighthouse 80 in Fort Washington Park. The red day card identifies it during the day, while at night the red Endicott battery powered light beams from this historical wooden tower. In a contemporary font face, it reads "Fort Washington Park."
