From the beginning of their courtship until the end of his political career, John and Abigail Adams exchanged over a thousand letters. Inscribed on our ornament is an excerpt from John’s letter to Abigail on May 12, 1780. He tells her of the right of his children to liberty, education, and a means to express themselves.
Celebrating one of our Founding Fathers and second American president, this decorative ornament from our Revolutionary War Collection shows a handsome portrait of John Adams on the back. Beneath it reads, "Adams National Historical Park Quincy, Massachusetts," where his legacy is preserved.
