The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a spring celebration in Washington, D.C., commemorating the 1912, gift of Japanese cherry trees from the mayor of Tokyo City to the city of Washington. The trees were an effort to enhance the growing friendship between the United States and Japan. These earrings are made from solid brass, have a giclee print, and the ear wires are plated hematite. They hang approximately 1.5 inches.
