Stones River NB Magnet

Item#: 363472

Nearly surrounded by Confederates, Colonel John Miller’s Union brigade fought off wave after wave of Confederate soldiers from behind limestone rocks and cedar trees. Our collectible magnet shows the Stones River that Union soldiers crossed on January 2, 1863. Under Generals Bragg and Breckinridge, Confederate forces continued their attack and were bombarded with artillery cannons.

In alternating ocean blue and black text, it reads "Stones River National Battlefield" at the top and "Murfreesboro, TN" in upraised lettering at the bottom. A souvenir from the Civil War Collection, our Stones River Magnet recognizes the strategic military importance demonstrated in an often overlooked battle that turned the tides in the Union’s favor in Confederate Tennessee.
