Fort Washington Light Ornament

Item#: 366762

Let our Fort Washington ornament light up your interior as the Lighthouse 80 built on Digges Point did guiding traffic down the Potomac River near America’s Capital City in 1857. Situated near the masonry Fort Washington, Light 80 was manned by military patrols until 1954, when Endicott battery powered lights were installed.
Still operational today, bell tower Light 80 is managed by the US Coast Guard, and a triangular red card helps identify it to passing boats during the day and a flashing red light at night.
