On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked four planes, intending to crash them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and, as it is speculated, either the White House or the US Capitol. The plane intended for Washington DC, Flight 93, was overthrown by the passengers and crew, and crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Those 40 people gave up their lives to save others, so on September 10, 2011, the Flight 93 National Memorial opened to the public. Our Flight 93 Logo Wood Ornament, made with natural wood, features the Flight 93 National Memorial Logo to honor the passengers and crew of Flight 93.
