Approximately 11,000 American military and civilian women served in Vietnam during the war. The majority of these women were nurses. Many of them were in their early 20’s. In 1993 the Vietnam Women’s Memorial was dedicated to honor the more than 265,000 civilian and military women who served around the world during the Vietnam Era.
This bronze coin is engraved with a replica of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial. The other side of the coin states, A legacy of healing and hope, with the dedication date, November 11, 1993, beneath it. This coin is a great gift for other Nam vets. Now days challenge coin but sooo much better.. We Nam Vets were not treated like modern day vets. So many nurses who served over there they never can home either
