The Homestead National Monument of America commemorates the Homestead Act of 1862, which allowed for thousands of Americans to obtain free land. In exchange, the homesteaders promised to reside on, cultivate, and improve the property.
This magnet reproduces a picture of The Palmer-Epard cabin, an extremely-well preserved example of a homestead-era home. For over 60 years, members of the Palmer and Ephard families lived in this small cabin.
Pick up this magnet and display an important part of history on your fridge for all to see!
